Luis DE LEÕN fils de réfugiés politiques Espagnols, il naît un 14 Juillet en 1950 à Oujda au Maroc.
Il arrive en France à 13 ans et poursuit ses études à l’Ecole d’Art des Tissages de Lyon.
Il deviendra Dessinateur, Graphiste et Professeur d’Art Plastique.
Depuis toujours Peintre…
De nombreuses Expositions seul et de groupe jalonneront sa carrière en France et à l’étranger: Suisse, Allemagne, Belgique, Etats-Unis, Chine….
” Il a compris, dès ses débuts, que l’expression picturale doit être assise sur une parfaite maîtrise technique.
Il continue, aujourd’hui encore, à travailler inlassablement les techniques des Grands Maîtres. Ses oeuvres, si modernes, donnent cette impression de survol des différentes écoles: Surréalisme, Symbolisme, Hyperréalisme et même Abstrait, comme si ces courants étaient si bien maîtrisés par l’Artiste, qu’ils ne faisaient plus qu’un et que seule la vivacité des couleurs établissait un lien entre-elles.”
